Escampar la Boira was born from a change in life.

A few years ago, after a long period immersed in a frantic personal and professional pace within the big city, I felt that I needed to stop. My body made me realise that I had been ignoring it for too long.

I needed fresh air, rest, silence and to reconnect with what truly matters.

And so began a journey that took me away from the noise, the rush and a way of living that had become too disconnected from nature. I came to a piece of woodland, with the remains of an old farmhouse in ruins, and imagined a new life there: more peaceful, more coherent and more deeply rooted in the land.

From that decision, Can Buch was born.

Can Buch is a farmhouse dating back to 1621, restored using natural materials, traditional techniques and the work of skilled artisans. Today, it is a small ecotourism retreat in the Llémena Valley, surrounded by nature, mountains, tranquillity and silence.

But Can Buch is much more than a hotel. It is a living space. A way of understanding life through respect, sustainability and care for everything around us.

The farmhouse runs on renewable energy, follows the principles of permaculture and works to maintain a balance between people, animals and the environment through regenerative agriculture. Every decision is made with the aim of caring for the land and giving back a part of everything it gives us.

At Can Buch, sustainability is not an idea. It is a daily practice.

Food is also health. It is also a way of connecting with the land, with our bodies and with the people around us.

Little by little, this perspective became part of life at Can Buch and of our whole family’s life: rediscovering the value of simple foods, real ingredients, processes that take time, and everything that comes from a well-cared-for environment.

We wanted to live differently and understand food as an essential part of this change: a form of health, awareness and connection with the land.

At Escampar la Boira, we believe that a product is not just something you eat, drink or use. It is also where it comes from, how it has been made and the story it carries within.

That is why we work with small-scale production, carefully considered processes and a respectful approach to the rhythms of nature.
